Show 'n Shine XXI

Show 'n Shine XXI is now history with numerous comments overheard about the "best ever" qualities of the show. The quality of the weather was perfect (we had nothing to do with that). The quality of the venue in Boca, with lots to do, great facilities and a "cozy" show field (VW enthusiasts like "cozy", it's in our genes) worked great. The quality of the cars on display brought the most raves. You've been working hard on them all winter, it showed, & we thank all who participated. About 99 cars were on the field (plus an overflow area) to be judged, plus ~20 vendors set up shop. This year the ~20 member's cars were in the visitor parking along with numerous VW owners who just came to check out the event.

Again the show events went at a crisp pace. Recognizing the long drive home facing many of the participants, the show staff went into their now trademark "Boogity, Boogity, Boogity" mode. Classing was completed at 11:00, and judging began at 11:15. The awards presentations began at 2:30 sharp. and by 3:30, most smiling participants were on their way home with their personalized plaques.

We thank the Antique Automobile Club of America, Fort Lauderdale Region for their help in judging, and the staff of Sugar Sand Park for being so helpful and accommodating.
