The South Florida VW Club gets national TV coverage!

Background:  NBC wanted to do a segment on the end of production of the air-cooled VW Beetle in Mexico in late July,2003.
As part of the piece they needed to express the world's love of this classic automobile.  So who did they naturally turn to?

  The South Florida VW Club
 (of course)

They sent out a video crew from the Miami NBC affiliate, WTVJ, Channel 6 to tape our July meeting at the Dairy Queen in Tamarac.  Kerry Sanders, NBC national reporter, covered the story.  It aired during the week at various times on CNBC, MSNBC, and NBC Nightly news on August 3rd.
